JR東日本鐵道今天起，在台北車站開店近二週，每天限量銷售三款人氣便當，每個新台幣兩百五十元，上午十時卅分開賣，雖然比台鐵便當貴很多，但有民眾今天上午六時就排隊嘗鮮。
目前台鐵各式便當，價格從六十元到一百九十九元，JR東日本來台銷售的便當每個兩百五十元，今天到卅一日，每天在台北車站限量銷售共兩百個，很多民眾認為機會難得，寧願掏腰包排隊等候。
第一個買到日本便當的馬先生說，雖然日本便當比台鐵便當貴很多，但比起在日本的價錢還是很划算，排隊四個多小時很值得。台鐵說，JR東日本鐵道便當是由JR東日本派人來台，用台灣的食材，以日本的配方製作。
JR東日本曾進軍法國巴黎，在里昂車站設立短期店鋪，今年選擇台北車站作為JR東日本在全球第二間短期店舖，帶來東京車站每天最熱銷的人氣口味。
這三款人氣便當中，造型搶眼的E七新幹線便當是壽司，深川飯便當是以醬油高湯飯搭配蛤蠣肉及星鰻製成，日本款待之心便當是以龍蝦肉等廿五種食材搭配醋飯製成。
台鐵說，每款便當兩百五十元，相當於日本當地七折價，E七新幹線便當及日本款待之心每天各銷售五十個，深川飯便當每天銷售一百個。
